MemoDueUses

Devnet

MemoDue is a one-time sealed note on Solana: you encrypt in the browser, put ciphertext on chain, and share a link whose #k= fragment holds the AES key. You select the unlock time that waits on drand/tlock. Creator can reclaim rent or, after a grace period, a keeper can close for a tip — non-custodial, with a create fee to the treasury.

Sealed bids

Each bidder seals a bid until a shared reveal time. Auctioneers set the unlock; bidders keep their own links until then. No one can peek early — including the auctioneer — without the bidder’s key fragment.

Delayed press releases

Write the release once, lock it to the embargo time, and hand the link to journalists or partners. At unlock, everyone with the link can read the same text together.

Delayed content reveals

Trailers, chapter endings, album lyrics, or drop coordinates that must stay dark until a clock hits. The ciphertext is public; the meaning is not until unlock.

Password and credential handoff

Seal a temporary password, API token, or recovery phrase for a handoff at a set time. Share the link privately; after unlock the recipient reads it in-browser. Keep the fragment secret until you intend to share.

Coordinated product launches

Lock messaging, pricing, or feature copy so regional teams, press, and affiliates unlock the same words at launch. One create, many readers after the round.

Embargoed journalism

Sources and editors can seal a story package to an embargo clock. Recipients get the link early; reading waits on drand, not on trusting every inbox.

Classroom answers after the sitting

Publish the answer key as a sealed note timed to the end of the exam window. Students get the link when you choose; nobody decrypts early without the key.

Deal term sheets at announcement

Seal draft terms or a summary for counterparties and counsel, unlock timed to a public announcement. Useful for coordination — not a substitute for counsel or filings.

Delayed whistleblower package

Seal a report to unlock after a deadline you choose, then share the link with a trusted reader or outlet. Timed delay is clock-based; it does not prove events or protect identity by itself.

Gifts and surprise messages

Birthday notes, scavenger clues, or a message that should open on a date. Warm and simple: create, share the link, wait for unlock.

Shared unlock for multi-party NDAs

Several parties hold the same reader link and see the sealed text only after a shared unlock. Helps align “we all read at once” without a custodian holding plaintext.

Open after a milestone date

Escrow-adjacent: seal terms or a release note to a calendar date you agree on. Honest limit — unlock is clock/drand, not an on-chain oracle for off-chain events (delivery, payment, or signatures).

Appoint a future reader

Create now, keep the key fragment yourself, and hand the full link later — or leave instructions for when someone should receive it. Content stays sealed until unlock and until they have #k=.

Puzzle and ARG clues

Drop sealed clues that open on schedule across a campaign. Players share links; the chain holds only ciphertext until the round publishes.

Timed personal reveal

A letter or instruction set to unlock on a future date — dead-man / inheritance-style timing. Not legal advice and not a will: clock unlock only; plan for who holds the link and what happens if it is lost.

Not legal advice. Unlock is clock- and drand-based, not an event oracle. Anyone with the full link (including #k=) can read after unlock — keep that fragment secret until you mean to share. Devnet only. See the FAQ.
